Firefighters also responded to a working garage fire as well as a helicopter crash on Sunday.

Airplane crash at Turvile

Sat. July 18, 2015:
New Horizons Airport air traffic control reported an aircraft declaring an emergency. The Firelands Port Authority Harbor Patrol was dispatched to stand at the ready along with the Firelands Rural Fire District. Shortly after being notified to stand by Harbor Patrol officers reported heavy flames showing from Turvile near Sunset Stables.
